These onion barhjis are so tasty and are easy to make. Not my healthiest recipe but a good alternative to a takeaway, plus they are gluten free. Recipe makes about 10 onion barhjis. Onion barhji Ingredients – 90 grams of gluten free flour – One teaspoon of turmeric powder – One teaspoon of garam marsala powder – One teaspoon of ground Cumin powder – Salt and pepper to taste – One tablespoon of chopped coriander – Two onions finely sliced – 110 ml of water – Vegatable oil for deep frying
Method: 1. Combine together GF flour, turmeric, garam marsala, ground cumin, and pepper. 2. Mix in water thoroughly. 3. Mix in onions and coriander. 4. Roll into balls and deep fry in vegatable, until golden brown. Riata Ingredients – 300ml of plain natural yogurt – One teaspoon of sugar – 12 mint leaves Method Mix these three ingredients together, to make the riata.
